Terms of Service

Last updated: October 22, 2026

By using pocketpalztc.com or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. You must be at least 18, or use the site with a parent or guardian’s permission. Please give accurate information, especially your shipping address.

Photos and content you upload

You keep ownership of your photos and designs. By uploading them you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, and that they don’t infringe anyone’s rights. You give us a limited licence to store, process and print them to make your order, and to show them to you in your account and cart.

Please don’t upload anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that includes other people’s private information. We may refuse or cancel (and refund) an order that breaks these rules.

What you put on your card

Your cards print what you enter, including names, text and badges such as Therapy Pet, Adopt Me, Rescued or Class Pet. You’re responsible for making sure everything on your card is true and that you’re allowed to say it.

We don’t check, verify or endorse what appears on a card. That includes claims such as “certified therapy dog”, “registered”, “service dog” or “emotional support animal”. A Pocket Palz card is a keepsake and is never proof of any certification, registration or legal status for an animal. Please don’t use a card to claim a status your pet doesn’t have, or to present it to a business, landlord, airline or anyone else as proof of one.

Please don’t put another organization’s name or logo on a card unless you have their permission. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t responsible for claims made on a card or for how a card is used. We may refuse or cancel (and refund) an order, or remove a card from Explore, if what’s on it is misleading or breaks these terms.

Featuring your cards

When you check out, you can tick an optional box for each card to allow us to feature it on our website (including the Explore page) and Instagram. It’s unticked by default, doesn’t affect your order, and you can withdraw permission any time by emailing info@pocketpalztc.com — we’ll remove it from our channels, though we can’t recall copies already shared by others. Featured cards may be shown with your pet’s name and card design, but never your address or contact details.

My Palz codes

When you check out you can tick an optional box on a card to add a My Palz code (a QR code and short code) to the back. Anyone who scans it or types it in at pocketpalztc.com can add that card to their My Palz collection. It’s unticked by default and doesn’t change the price.

Whoever scans the code can see the card as printed, which can include your pet’s name, your name and your Instagram handle if you put them on it, and a count of how many people have added that card. They can’t see your account, email or address. The code only starts working once your order has been paid, and the same card reordered unchanged keeps the same code. If you change the design, it gets a new code.

Because you may hand your cards to other people, a code can’t be taken back from collections it’s already in. If you’d like a code deactivated, email info@pocketpalztc.com.

Orders and pricing

Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), and taxes and shipping are shown at checkout. Your order is accepted when we send an order confirmation. We may cancel and refund an order if there’s a pricing error, a payment problem, or a file we can’t print.

Your cards are made to order from what you create, so please review your design carefully before paying. See our Refunds & Returns and Shipping policies for the details.

Print quality

Printed colours can differ slightly from what you see on a screen, and photos that are low-resolution or blurry will look that way in print. We do our best to print faithfully to the preview you approve.

Our content

The Pocket Palz name, logo, card templates and site design belong to us. Please don’t copy or resell them without permission.

Limits of liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and orders are covered by the terms in effect when you placed them. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
