Custom therapy pet trading cards: a friendly handout for every visit

If you visit hospitals, schools, seniors’ homes or libraries with a therapy pet, a trading card gives people something to keep long after the visit is over.

Why therapy pet handlers use trading cards

A therapy visit is brief, and people often meet many animals. A card gives each person a small memento that brings back the visit, and it gives the animal a personality people can remember.

  • It breaks the ice. Handing someone a card with a name, a photo and a few fun facts starts conversations, especially with children and shy people.
  • It leaves something behind. A card is a lasting thing a person can keep on a fridge, in a wallet or on a bedside table.
  • It shows who your pet is. You can list their favourite treats, best friends and hobbies, so people know more than just a name.
  • It is handy for the handler. A pack in your bag means every visit ends the same warm way, and you are not rewriting details each time.

Features that suit therapy pets

  • Therapy Pet badge. In the builder you can replace the usual power badge with a Therapy Pet badge under the stat bars.
  • Card note. Choose Pet Friendly, Ask to Pet, Do Not Pet or Just 4 Looking so the card reflects how your animal likes to be approached.
  • Your name and Instagram. Put the handler’s name on the front, and an Instagram handle if you share your pet’s visits online.
  • A My Palz code (optional). A small QR code on the back lets people add the card to their own My Palz collection on this site.

How it works

  1. Open the card builder and add your pet’s photos, name, stats and fun facts.
  2. Pick the Therapy Pet badge and a Card note.
  3. Save the card and choose a pack. Handlers often start with 24 or 36 cards, and larger packs lower the price per card. You get 20% off the whole order when you buy two or more packs.
  4. We print on real trading card stock and ship to your door.

A note on certification. Pocket Palz does not check or verify what appears on a card, and a card is a keepsake, never proof that an animal is certified, registered or a service animal. Only add claims to your card that are true for your pet. See our Terms for details.
